Sea Turtle Walks are back at MacBeach and we couldn't be more excited! ALL tickets can be reserved online this year for both Friends Members and Non-Members. Don't delay... tickets will sell out!
The Turtle Walks start at 8:30 p.m. and run to 11:30 p.m. or later; you must be in the park by 8:15 p.m. No one may leave early as the Park gates are locked. Participants must be able to walk at least 2 miles in sand and must be at least ten years old.
Non-Member Turtle Walks will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays June 2 - July 11. Tickets are $25.00 per person
Please read all these instructions carefully -
- Everyone in your party must know the name of the ticket purchaser.
The Gate Ranger will have the ticket purchaser’s name and number of people in that party at the front gate; no one will be allowed into the event without the name of the ticket purchaser
- You must be in the park by 8:15 p.m. No one will be admitted once the gate has closed
- Programs start at 8:30 p.m. in the Nature Center and run to 11:30 p.m. or later; no one may leave early as the Park gates are locked
- Everyone MUST stay with the group, be considerate, and able to walk up to two miles (some soft sand). Please note that these are wild endangered animals. We cannot guarantee the time that the Loggerhead Sea Turtle will be nesting and able to view. We CANNOT guarantee a turtle nesting experience, but we hope for the best!
- This program is designed for children 10 and older- children under 10 cannot attend; children are the responsibility of their parent or guardian – they cannot be left alone during the Turtle Walk
- Tickets are non-refundable. Turtle Walks will be held rain or shine
- Flashlights, photography and cell phones are not permitted. No illumination of electronic devices will be permitted
- Wear comfortable walking shoes and dark clothing
- Bring water and insect repellent. It will be dark, there can be mosquitoes and no-see-ums. Insect repellant is recommended
